The Open Water class at Central Coast Dive Center is the first step on your journey to the underwater world. It provides you with the basic skills you will need to be comfortable in the open water environment. The two-week course is divided into 3 segments, each under the supervision of a PADI certified instructor. In the academic portion you will learn basic dive theory. The skill segment requires practice of diving techniques on-site in our heated swimming pool. The final segment requires you to perform the skills in the actual open water diving environment. This may be done locally over a weekend or on your next trip. In order to start any class, you must have your own mask, fins, snorkel and book. 

You must have book work completed PRIOR to the start of class. Students requiring special attention can be sure they will find it here at Central Coast Dive Center.
