“the nature island”

Dominica is an incredibly beautiful, relaxing place. This island has majestic mountains and perfect clarity in their water. Dominica is unique in the sheer variety of their topographical features. Located in the Southern Caribbean, Dominica is the ideal location for someone looking for hiking, diving, and a chance to enjoy all the natural wonders this beautiful island has to offer.

There are plenty of unique dive features in Dominica that you wont find anywhere else in the world. Because the island is volcanic, there is a dive site called “champagne”, where the warm water bubbles up through geothermal vents and creates a champagne-like atmosphere while you dive. There are many incredible creatures at this site, including crinoids with feathery, radiant arms. Batfish, electric rays, and squid can also be found there!

Not only does Dominica have unique diving, it is also home to the word’s second largest boiling lake and one third of the island is a Rainforest national park. There is a long distance hiking trail, the Waitukubuli National Trail, that passes through the Kalingo Territory (home to the indigenous people of Dominica). The trail highlights the history of the island as well as its biological diversity. It also showcases what a volcanic habitat can support. Perfect for non-divers!

This trip is great for divers and non-divers who love adventure! Because of the beautiful terrain and pristine reefs, it is great for anyone who loves to be outdoors and surrounded by beautiful wildlife. It can be a once in a life time experience to see the boiling lake or hike along the Waitukubuli trail. “Dominica is a divers dream and a hiker’s paradise.”
